Sustainable Garments – The purpose of waste reuse – Recycled Cotton
In recent years, there has been a growing trend towards buying second-hand clothing, rather than always turning to the high street. Big names in the fashion industry have also been raising the issue of sustainable and ethical clothing. Despite this growing public interest in Sustainable Garment, the continuous and regular consumption of new clothes still remains.Fashion giants are responding, too. By 2025, Zara pledges to only use organic, sustainable or Recycled Cotton, linen and polyester to make its clothing. H&M (HMRZF) promises to do similar by 2030.
Recycled Cotton’s considered as a the savior for the Garment, through recycling and reusing the short of cotton fiber from spining carding process, it can improve the utilization rate of raw materials, reduce the waste of resources and clean the environment. The fiber of Recycled Cotton is obtained by using the remaining fabric cut by factories and then spun in order to achieve the purpose of waste reuse.

We pride ourselves in being a reliable Circular Knit Fabric Supplier in Vietnam and O-EKOTEX qualified. Generally speaking, most cut & sew knitwear factories in Vietnam buy their fabric from China. Thai Son has a choice to produce the fabric in Vietnam (if price is cheaper than buying from China) or to buy from China.
We buy yarns in advance and stock them in Vietnam. We buy combed cotton (20/1, 26/1, 30/1, 32/1, 40/1, 50/1), viscose/rayon, polyester rayon, modal, cotton modal, polyester and spandex. We also buy specialty yarns from Korea, Thailand, India, Pakistan. We are proceeding buying our first container from Uzerbekistan. Mostly, the yarns we buy are O-EKOTEX certified.
Our knitting partners can knit the quite a lot circular knit structures. Single jersey, interlock, pique, french terry, rib, waffle and jacquard to name a few.
Our dyeing facility is rather small but managed well. We use certified dyestuff and keep our fabric O-EKOTEX certified. Functions done during finishing are also an option.
Producing 50 tons of O-EKOTEX circular knit fabric monthly, we are now serving our internal cut & sew knit (we only produce fabrics for our customers who buy full-packaged garments from us.
